The full day tour of the Colca Canyon starts at 2:30 am. The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. This tour begins with a direct trip to the first and most important town in the canyon: Chivay (3 hours by tourist transport) At 6 AM you will be in Chivay (3600m) an Andean town located on the left side of the Colca Canyon; surrounded by farm fields. After breakfast in Chivay, we will leave for the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint; en route we will find the beautiful town of Yanque with the white dancers, the terraces and the different natural viewpoints: Antahuilque and the Choquetico Tombs, Arrival at the Cruz del Cóndor for sighting of the Andean Condor (Vulture Gryphus). Return to Chivay, visiting Maca (where it is possible to see a beautiful colonial church from the 16th century, next to this town it is possible to see people dedicated to working the platforms. Arrival in Chivay and visit the La Calera hot springs, where you can enjoy the pools medicinal thermos, after relaxing return to Chivay for lunch, after lunch we will go back to the city of Arequipa, on the way we will visit the highest point between the Colca Canyon and Arequipa: Patapampa (4800m), from this place we can see the volcanic mountain range: The Ampato volcano where "Juanita" was founded Then we go to Toqrapampa, where we can see small lagoons with Andean birds, then we will continue to the Pampa Cañahuas National Park, where we can see Llamas, Alpagas and Vicuñas Arrival in Arequipa at 5PM and transfer to the hotel.
