Itinerary

Arrival at the airport or bus station and transfer to the office for the final talk of our tour before leaving for our adventure. In case you have a lot of luggage, we suggest you repack to save the items you don't need and bring enough for the trip. Land transfer (4X4) in a truck with wheels to our destination for about 2 hours to reach the banks of the Tambopata River, if it is by river it will take more than 6 hours (information only). In this place we will take a boat to the lodge "Monte Amazonico - Tambopata". Welcome and Breakfast or lunch depending on the time of arrival. In the afternoon we will take an introductory walk to the tropical jungle where we will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat such as amphibians, mammals, reptiles and wonderful insects, among others.

We get up early, at 4:30 a.m., to go to the largest macaw clay lick in the world, CHUNCHO, a trip of approximately 1:30 a.m., by boat, on the way we will have the incredible opportunity to see species such as capybara , which is the largest rodent in the world, tapirs, and you can even see the most beautiful South American feline, the jaguar, many of our clients witness with photographic evidence of encounters with these beautiful mammals. After reaching the macaw clay lick, you will see hundreds of different species of parrots that come to eat clay adjacent to the river wall. We will settle in our mounts waiting for one of the most beautiful natural bird shows in the world to begin. The parrots are followed by the 3 most colorful macaw species in America, the red and green, the blue and the yellow ones, plus they gather to eat the clay they need in their daily diet and eliminate toxins. On a good day of activity you will see hundreds of these wonderful animals flying above you. An experience for a lifetime. After breakfast, our boat takes us to transport us back to Puerto Maldonado and we will transfer to the port where we will take the boat for an hour until we reach our hostel, receiving us with a refreshing fruit juice from our region. Accommodation is given. After lunch, we visit the "Isla de los Monos", located in front of our lodge on the other side of the Madre de Dios River, where we find different species of monkeys that live on the island, those species are the brown capuchin, the squirrel monkey and the saddleback marmoset; and return to the Lodge. In the afternoon we will go looking for alligators, white alligators are typically found on the sandbanks of the Madre de Dios River, for which it will be necessary to bring a flashlight. In addition, it is possible that we will see some capybaras, back to the lodge, dinner and rest.

After breakfast, walk of 3 km. In the middle of the dense tropical jungle and we go to the Sandoval lake (piranha habitat) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve and ride in a rowing boat where we will appreciate many birds of different species (shansho, cormorants, jacanas, puma heron, buzzards, howler monkey, brown capuchin monkey, tamarins and sloths). Perhaps we will meet the family of giant river otters (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction, return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch. In the afternoon we will have one more opportunity to walk where we will be able to appreciate a diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. - Dinner and rest.

5:30 a.m. in the jungle morning and a short walk to our canopy walkway, about 30 meters high, allowing us to appreciate nature from the highest possible, we will also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River.
