Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – HYDROELECTRIC - AGUAS CALIENTES

The departure will be at 07:30 am With the pick up from your hotel, we will cross the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and we will be able to appreciate the beautiful town of Ollantaytambo. We will continue the trip by a winding ascent towards the Malaga pass located at an altitude of 4316 masl from where we will be able to observe the most beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. After a brief stop we will begin the descent into the jungle passing through the different levels of altitude that combine paradisiacal landscapes from the majestic snow-capped mountains to the warm jungle. We will continue to the town of Santa María. Located at an altitude of 1575 meters above sea level, to continue after a brief stop to the town of Santa Teresa. 13:00 approx. Where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us. After our lunch, we will finally continue until we reach Hidroelectrica, where we will begin a two and a half hour walk (mostly flat) to reach Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). From the hydroelectric you also have the option of taking a train (25 minutes) if you don't want to walk, but this has an extra cost of US$31 (95% of people walk), upon arrival in Aguas Calientes and after settling in the accommodation You will have some free time to rest or visit the hot springs (entrance S/ 15). then we will have a dinner where at the end you will be given all the previous information for the next day (Overnight).

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – HYDROELECTRIC - CUSCO

Second and last day of the Machupicchu bus tour that starts very early (4:30 am). Ascent to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. we prepare to start our ascent to machupicchu, this will be a walk of one hour and 40 minutes to get to machupicchu, we also have the option of taking a bus to go up to the archaeological center of machupicchu (25 minutes costs US$ 12), the first bus leaves at 5:10 am Upon arrival at the Machupicchu gate we will meet the guide and the group to start the tour, we will be walking receiving information from our guide for approximately two hours, this guided tour in Machupicchu Picchu will be the main parts of the citadel, places of great importance such as the temple of the sun, the house of the Inca, the area of the water mirrors, the temple of the condor, the main square, intiwatana and others, then you will have free time to take photos and explore Machu Picchu on your own. count until 11:00 hrs.
