MANU PARK CULTURAL 3D/2N

The Park was created on May 29, 1973, has an area of 1,716,295.22 hectares and is one of the best destinations for nature tourism. In the lower basin of the Manu River, the exuberance of the Amazon plain stands out. There are up to five areas recommended for tourist visits, with a high diversity of flora and fauna: Salvador, Otorongo, Juárez, Pakitza and Limonal. All the navigable circuits in lakes or lakes, where river otters and black lizards can be seen.

Itinerary

We leave Cusco by private bus, first stopping to visit the pre-Inca funerary towers of Ninamarca. Then we head through the mountains, to reach the typical and folkloric town of Paucartambo. Here we will take a short walk through the town before continuing to Tres Cruces, the highest point and the entrance to the Manu National Park. From here we will continue to the Cloud Forest and in San Pedro we will walk for about 1 hour to observe the national bird of Peru, the cock of the rocks and different types of monkeys, plants and flowers. We arrive at our hostel at night where we will sleep.

In the morning after a delicious breakfast, the bus will transfer the group to the port of Atalaya, in the way we will visit the Hummingbirds Garden, then we will continue to Soga de oro Lodge by the Alto Madre de Dios river. On the way we will stop to observe a coca plantation, we will also stop at a viewpoint where you can get a good overview of the jungle and the river. From Atalaya we leave by motorized boat to our hostel. Throughout the boat trip, we will see many different types of animals, birds, plants, and flowers. In the afternoon we will visit Lake Machuwasi where we will take a balsa raft and see the Hoatzin prehistoric bird, we will observe the beautiful sunset and at dusk we will look for alligators. We will spend the night at Soga de Oro Lodge.

We will leave early to visit the parrot clay lick, after breakfast we will walk in the jungle for several hours and we will see different animals, birds such as the tiger heron, the eagle, the flycatcher, the kingfisher, etc. and many different types of plants and flowers. We will return to Atalaya by boat where our private bus will be waiting for us to take us back to Cusco. We return to Cusco via the cloud forest and Paucartambo. We will arrive back in Cusco at the end of the afternoon.
