We will visit the Pre-Inca site, then we will arrive at the town of Paucartambo (3025masl/9924ft) with a Spanish colonial architecture; Folkloric capital of Cusco and visit to the interesting museum. Continuing we arrive at the Acjanaco pass (4000masl/13123ft) from here we descend to the Cloud Forest to enjoy our lunch along the way, this is a place with many endemic species such as the Gallito de las Rocas the national bird of Peru so We will visit an observation platform (1600masl/5000ft), we will also be able to observe orchids, bromeliads and tree ferns, and continuing we will arrive at our accommodation in the cloud forest where we will spend the first night of our tour. Overnight in accommodations: (700 masl)

In the morning after a delicious breakfast, the bus will transfer the group to the port of Atalaya, in the way we will visit the Hummingbirds Garden, then we will continue to Soga de oro Lodge by the Alto Madre de Dios river. In our journey you will appreciate amazing landscapes, enjoy also warm climate of the rain forest. In the afternoon we have a walk exploring the jungle for few hours in order to see Caimans, birds and medicinal plants.

Very early in the morning we will travel by boat for approximately 25 minutes to a parrot clay lick, where we will be able to see green parrots, macaws and, if we are lucky, also some other birds or small animals. After that, we will return to the lodge for breakfast. Then we will start a 2-hour walk to reach the top of a hill from where we will have an incredible view of the jungle, the Alto Madre de Dios river and some towns. On the way to the top our guide will show us incredible plants and original insects. If we are lucky we might see some monkeys. At the top of the hill we will have a snack before beginning a 2-hour descent that will take us back to the lodge. There we will have lunch. In the afternoon we can decide to rest or take another walk to look for more animals. Night at the Lodge.

After a delicious breakfast, unfortunately it will be time to return to Cusco: first by boat to the Atalaya port, and then by bus to return to Cusco. On the way back, weather permitting, we can take another hike in the cloud forest for our last chance to see some animals. Our trip back to Cusco will last all day and we will be back in the Inca Capital City. **NOTE: The order of the activities mentioned in this program may change according to weather conditions. In the Jungle the weather is very unpredictable, especially during the rainy season, and weather conditions can affect the program as the animals are also affected in their daily activities by the rain. Feel free to talk to your guide about it to change the order of activities or find alternative things to do in case of bad weather! And remember, we have no responsibilities about the weather and the amount of animals you will see: enjoy the jungle and good luck!
