Itinerary

Our guide will pick you up from our office in our private vehicle at 08:30 am to start the Classic Sacred Valley tour. We will start the day traveling from Cusco through the mountains towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After driving for 45 minutes, we make our first stop at the Alpacas Farm Animal Sanctuary to visit and observe some unique Andean animals. Then we will continue to one of the viewpoints of the Sacred Valley, known as Taray. Here you will be amazed by the impressive views of the Sacred Valley and the Urubamba River (source of the longest river in the world: the Amazon River). Continuing, you will visit and explore with your guide one of the largest archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas: Pisac. After the guided tour of the ruins, you will have time to explore the famous local market of Pisac. At the market, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the craftsmanship of the many local artisans. Later, you will drive along the Urubamba River (Wilcamayu River) for about an hour to reach Urubamba, where you will enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we continue to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. At this enigmatic site, you'll get a comprehensive guided tour from your guide and explore the stone temple of the sun, which is aligned with the nearby mountains to track important astronomical events, including the solstices. Finally, you will visit the town of Chinchero, known for its extensive agricultural terraces, the Colonial Church of San Pedro, and an Andean textile center. You will also see the locals wearing their typical clothes, like in ancient times. After visiting Chinchero, we return to Cusco and drop you off near the main square.
