Day 01: PUERTO MALDONADO - LODGE

    Day 1

    Day 01: PUERTO MALDONADO - LODGE

    Arrival at the airport or bus station and transfer to the office for the final talk of our tour before leaving on our adventure. If you have a lot of luggage, we suggest repacking to save items you don't need and bring enough for the trip. Land transfer (4X4) in a wheeled van to our destination for about 2 hours to reach the banks of the Tambopata River, if it is by river it will take more than 6 hours (information only). At this place we will take a boat to the "Monte Amazonico - Tambopata" hostel. Welcome and Breakfast or lunch depending on arrival time. In the afternoon we will take an introductory walk to the tropical jungle where we will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat such as amphibians, mammals, reptiles and wonderful insects, among others.

    Day 2

    Day 02: LODGE - EL CHUNCHO

    We get up very early, at 4:30 am, to embark on an incredible boat trip to the largest macaw clay lick in the world "EL CHUNCHO", a trip of approximately 1:30 hours by boat, along the way we will have the opportunity to see some species such as the capybaras, which is the largest rodent in the world, the tapirs, and you can even see the most beautiful South American cat, the jaguar, many of our clients are witnesses with photographic evidence of encounters with these beautiful mammals. After reaching the macaw clay lick, you will see hundreds of parrots of different species (11) that come to eat clay next to the river on the wall. We will settle into our chairs and wait for one of the most beautiful natural bird shows to begin. in the world. The parrots are followed by 3 species of the most colorful macaws in America, red and green, blue and yellow, who come together to eat the clay necessary in their daily diet and eliminate toxins. On a good day of activity you will see hundreds of these wonderful animals flying above you.     Day 3

    Day 03: MONKEY ISLAND

    After a copious breakfast, our boat takes us to transport us back to Puerto Maldonado and we will transfer to the port where we will take the boat for an hour until we arrive at our welcome lodge with a refreshing fruit juice from our region. Accommodation is provided. After a rest, you will have a two-hour walk in the dense tropical forest, guided by an expert who will take you along our trails and you will be able to see a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, so you can observe some species of animals. . wild animals such as toucans, orioles, parrots, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc. You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our Amazon rainforest within the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL WILDLIFE RESERVE (278,000 protected hectares). After lunch, we visited the "Monkey Island", located in front of our lodge on the other side of the Madre de Dios River, where we found different species of monkeys that live on the island, those species are the brown capuchin, the squirrel monkey and the saddle marmoset; and return to the Lodge. In the afternoon we will go out to look for caimans, white caimans are typically found on the sand banks of the Madre de Dios River, for which it will be necessary to bring a flashlight. Also, we may see some capybaras, return to the lodge, dinner and rest.

    Day 4

    Day 04: SANDOVAL LAKE

    After breakfast, 3 km walk. In the middle of the dense tropical jungle and we go to Lake Sandoval (piranha habitat) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve and ride in a rowboat where we will appreciate many birds of different species (shansho, cormorants, jacanas, heron puma, buzzard, howler monkey, brown capuchin monkey, tamarins and sloths). Perhaps we will meet the family of giant river otters (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction. Return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch. In the afternoon we will have one more opportunity to walk where we can appreciate a diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. - Dinner and rest.

    Day 5

    Day 05: MADRE DE DIOS RIVER - PUERTO MALDONADO

    5:30 am in the jungle morning and a short walk to our canopy walkway, about 30 meters high, allowing us to appreciate nature from the highest possible, we will also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River. From the platforms, observing different species of birds, including toucans, macaws, tanagers, orioles, will surely be a wonderful experience. Breakfast and return to the city, transfer to the airport and/or bus station.
