Manu Macaw Clay Lick Tour 7D/6N via Colorado

After an early breakfast, we travel through Pillcopata to Atalaya Port. We navigate the Alto Madre de Dios River and visit Machuwasi Lake to look for birds such as herons, cormorants and hoatzins. We continue by boat to the hot springs and then to Dorado Lodge. Lunch is arranged during this journey; its location depends on the river-travel schedule. Duration: total time 10 hours, mainly including the boat journey; not contemplating stops for lunch or bathrooms. With the first light of day we begin to travel by boat towards the Manu National Park, entering just after the confluence of the Alto Madre de Dios and Manu rivers, we will stop briefly at the Limonal ranger station (310 masl / 1017ft) to sign the Reserve Zone visitor book.
