Manu Fly-In Fly-Out Tour 4D/3N

This day will be dedicated to exploring some of the most fascinating corners of the Reserved Zone of Manu National Park. Depending on availability and permits from the Limonal checkpoint, we will visit the iconic Cocha Salvador, where we will take a catamaran tour to observe the extraordinary biodiversity of this ecosystem. This lagoon is one of Manu’s main attractions and serves as the habitat for a family of giant otters, which we’ll have the chance to spot if they’re active. During the tour, we’ll also be able to see various species of birds, caimans, and capuchin monkeys, as well as enjoy the unique landscapes surrounding the lagoon. Mid-morning, we’ll visit a macaw clay lick, where, if conditions are favorable, we’ll be able to observe these colorful birds in their natural habitat. Afterward, we’ll visit the Matsiguenka family to learn a bit about their customs, then return to our boat to enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the trails on the other side of the Manu River, venturing deep into the Amazon rainforest. During the hike, we’ll look for different species of wildlife, such as woolly monkeys, while discovering the richness of an ecosystem of extraordinary ecological value that has been preserved over time. At the end of the day, we'll return to Jaguar Camp to rest and enjoy an evening surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Very early in the morning, we’ll travel down the Manu River until we reach Pakitza, the last checkpoint and one of the most remote and least-visited areas of Manu National Park This exclusive access allows us to explore a virtually untouched environment, where the jungle remains in its purest and wildest state. During our hikes, we’ll have the opportunity to observe an extraordinary diversity of flora and fauna in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Jaguar Camp, where we’ll spend the night.

At dawn, we will begin the return sailing along the Manu River, enjoying the last moments in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. After check-out, we will go to the Boca Manu airfield to take our flight back to Cusco This culminates an exclusive, authentic and unforgettable experience in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon.
