A 4-day, 3-night program from Cusco visiting Dorado Lodge, Casa Matsiguenka and Otorongo and Salvador lakes.
Leaving Cusco early in the morning, we begin a 10-hour trip over the Andes in our private bus, on a road that partly climbs to 4000 meters above sea level. We travel through traditional Quechua communities and through the spectacular Eastern Cordillera of the Andes, along the way, we have some stops, to see the pre-Inka cemetery of Ninamarca or to visit the famous folkloric village of Paucartambo (2900 m above sea level). from sea ). from sea). This day is special, since we will visit the famous reserved area of the Manu National Park and we will tour the enigmatic Manu River, where you will be able to observe the wonderful fauna of this pristine place. You may also find smaller macaws, such as the chestnut-fronted macaw and the rare blue-headed macaw. After this we took our boat for about 45 minutes down the “Madre de Dios” river. Then we enter the reserved area of the Manu National Park and continue our journey for about 5-6 hours on the Manu River until we reach the Casa Matshiguenka Lodge, which belongs to the legendary Matshiguenka people. Along the way, from the boat, we can see a lot of biodiversity such as birds, capybaras and several species of monkeys, two species of alligators and tapirs. This day we will visit by catamaran the famous lake "Cocha Salvador", home of the giant otters, this Cocha Salvador is the highlight in the Manu park.
